Role of transportation and distribution operations in matching supply with demand; principles of transport industry analysis and competitive positioning. Strong writing skills are recommended for this course. The course investigates the role that transportation and distribution operations play in matching supply with demand. Special emphasis is given to transportation industry analysis, including the economic conditions, managerial strategies, governmental policies, and other phenomena that affect the demand for and supply of transport and distribution services.
