2011 Innovation in Education Award
The TLGC Program received the 2011 Innovation in Education Award from the Institute of Transportation Engineers’ Transportation Education Council. ITE presented the award to Denver Tolliver, Ph.D., Chair of the TLGC Board and Martin Pietrucha, Curriculum Committee Chair.
The ITE Transportation Education Council awarded the Innovation in Education Award to the TLGC program for its ability to attract students to transportation-related careers. The award also acknowledges the TLGC’s ability to develop, train, and retain current professionals. Martin Pietrucha said, “I hope that the award will raise the visibility of the TLGC Program even higher by demonstrating the value of this type of educational opportunity for practicing professionals.”
